MaxLinear semiconductor company together with Hauppauge to produce Digital MxL5007T TV tuner for Netbook. The TV ATSC tuner can pick up TV signals, as well as European and other standards such as DVB-T, DVB-H and DTMB.
The card can also be used with or unencrypted QAM HD video cable channels. The MxL5007T consumer 350MW of power, the MaxLinear says it makes 50% more energy efficient than most competing TV tuners.
