OCZ debuts 510MB/sec, 1TB solid-state drive. OCZ has once again on Friday to the new class of RAID striping Solid-state drives and the Z-Drive.

As vacancies Fusion io, the Z-drive four tires to a central SSDs RAID controller and a PCI Express slot, eliminating bottlenecks and SATA data twice as fast and not more than one-SSDs. OCZ claims peak read speed of 510MB per second and writes the top of 480 MB per second for the top-end drive.

The first versions of the Z-drive is a 250 GB, 500 GB or 1 TB of storage, but all models have 256 MB cache, to move data. They work with Mac OS X, Windows XP and later operating systems. Stations will be available soon, the cost is not known, but OCZ promises that the line will be “aggressively priced” affordable high-end users and not only professionals.
